Your Questions About Baby Care

Sandra asks…

Whats the difference between being blocked and being deleted on msn ?

The Expert answers:

There is no way to tell of someone has ether blocked or deleted you with out actually asking them.

– Blocked = UserA blocked UserB = UserB can no longer see the online status of or communicate with UserA.

– Deleted = UserA Deleted UserB = UserB was deleted from UserA’s contact list, but UserB’s list remains unefected, they can still message UserA as long as UserA did not block them before the delete.

There has been a lot of here-say about what happens when a person is blocked and/or deleted, eventually I’m gonna run some tests to determine the truth, and better reply to these questions as I’m noticing more of them pooping up.

Joseph asks…

What is the different between Wicca and Satanism?

The Expert answers:

Satanism is either atheistic or worships Satan as a Deity. Wicca is either duotheistic or polytheistic depending on the Wiccan Tradition and Wiccans don’t acknowledge any being known as nor resembling Satan.

Wicca is a complex and cohesive religion with licensed clergy who lead chartered religious communities. Wiccans celebrate 8 solar holidays of the year and some groups celebrate lunar holidays called esbats. The religion teaches that the Divine can be accessed through nature and through celebrating the cycle of life.

Wiccans may or may not cast spells. It isn’t part of the religion. However, many coven trained Wiccan initiates do have some instruction in spell casting as an adjunct to the religious practices. Spell work is not central to their practice but is seen as an acceptable thing to do. Most Wiccans only do spell work as they perceive the need (if they do it at all) and it’s usually for protection, solidifying bonds, justice, and peace. Wiccans don’t cast spells “on people.”

Wicca is a loving and highly ethical religion that is often misunderstood because there is a plethora of false information circulated about it.

EDIT: I respectfully point out that Drefan’s answer is not accurate. I do not believe I am a descendant of “full blown witches.” I am a witch, thank you. And a good one. Wicca is a religion and witchcraft is a practice.

Thomas asks…

What are some good environmental science and conservation organizations?

The Expert answers:

I could direct you to good orgs (The SCA, Ecological Society of America, The Wildlife Society, American Fisheries Society, etc) but their demand for microbiologists isn’t exactly high unless you’re able to find a niche within research or outreach for your skillset (i.e. Examining the impact of endocrine disruptors in drinking water on fish reproduction).

Otherwise, you could work on your own or locally: http://diybio.org/

James asks…

What is maltodextrin and why is it the first ingredient in my guacamole mix?

The Expert answers:

Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide that is used as a food additive. It is produced from starch by partial hydrolysis and is usually found as a creamy-white hygroscopic spraydried powder. Maltodextrin is easily digestible, being absorbed as rapidly as glucose, and might be either moderately sweet or almost flavorless. It is commonly used for the production of natural sodas and candy. It can also be found as an ingredient in some dry soup mixes and Pringles.

So yes, it is processed, its a cheap type of sugar that they add to the guacamole mix
