What are some fun babyshower games?
I am having a big baby shower. And just wanted to know of some fun games. My mom in law is doing my shower but wanted me to think of any games to play. I’v never been to a shower before so I have no idea. I just no there’s going to be about 30 people there.

I actually had one 2 days ago. There is one where you have a ball of yarn and you go around and have people guess about how much yarn would be needed to go around your stomach. Its fun some people would make it seem as if your having 6 kids 🙂

Well in the old days….we used to get a thing of draino..have the almost new mom pee into a cup…then add as much liquid draino to the cup to equal the urine…blue color…boy…yellowy girl…we used to do this and it always worked…really funny..I know it is not a game but it is very interesting, we also would take a pool and bet w/money on the delivery date…and then before the baby comes make sure you dispose of the left over draino..it is very dangerous to have around…!!!!

I have to throw my friend a babyshower this weekend, I have everything all ready – until today when she asked what games the guests will be playing. Uh-oh! I need some good ideas, cheap ideas, and pronto!! Thanks for any feedback!!

Ok, i have been to a baby shower and the following games were played.
1. Make all the guests guess the circumference of your friends belly, and then measure it and give a prize to the winner.
2. Guess the weight of your friend.
I know there are some great websites which have examples of games!

For the baby shower you play the Shush Baby game. You give each attendee three clothes pins. Over the next hour whoever catches someone else saying the word baby gets to take their clothes pins. Whoever has the most at the end wins a prize. For a baby shower since they aren’t as long as some parties I’d only make the game 30 minutes long.

I’ll be having my baby shower soon, and my mother and I was looking through games, and some just seemed rather… Odd..
Like Melting stuff and putting it in diapers…?? That just sounds a little nasty…

Guess Mom’s Tummy Size: (Materials- String or yarn and scissors) Have each woman pull the yarn to the size they believe would fit perfectly around the Mother-To-Be’s center of her pregnant tummy. After everyone cuts their string, compare the results to the Mommy-To-Be’s actual tummy. Give a prize to the woman who is the most close! This is a baby shower favorite.
Never say “Baby”: (Materials- baby safety pins or another type of baby object you can place on a string for each woman at the party as well as string or yarn, enough for each woman to wear as a necklace). Have each woman place the necklace with the baby safety pins around her neck when she gets to the party. The rules for this baby shower game are given out at the beginning of the baby shower that whenever someone says the word “baby” during the shower, any woman who calls it out gets a pin from the other woman who stated the word. At the end of the baby shower, the woman with the most pins wins a prize.
How Many Baby Items Can You Name: (Materials- pad of paper and pen for each woman). Have each woman write down as many baby products as they can name (bottle, blanket, pacifier, etc) within 5 minutes. Sure it is easy at the beginning, but towards the last few minutes, the women will start racking their brains for more 🙂 Give a prize to the woman who gets the most baby products named!
Bottle Races: (Materials- Baby bottles with Milk or alternate drink). Have each participant take a bottle filled with a liquid and suck the bottle as a baby would. The woman who drinks the most in an alloted time wins the baby shower gift. This baby shower game gets everyone laughing!
