What would you recommend for a babies first Christmas Gifts (1 yr old baby).?
I am already starting to plan for my babies first Christmas! She will be 9 months old at Christmas, but I was thinking of getting her gifts for when she is 1yr+. What has been the best toy you have brought your 1 year old baby or what do you think I should get my little girl?

My daughter will be 1 on the 8th nov i have started shopping and just got her a car that she sits in and i push around. Teddy cloths and noisey toys

How can I teach a 1 year old baby walk?
Is that possible?
Well.. my friends that are from the other side of the state as me brung their baby brother, he is SO cute! I almost cry while I’m playing with him..
I taught him how to crawl.. now I want to teach him how to walk, he crawled all the way to his mom today, it was soo nice.
And, what’s the best thing you can do to make a baby laugh?
I get little toy guns and stuffed animals for him to play with, and this slimy stuff, he really loves it.
But I want to make him happier, he gets bored of it in 10mins.
And please don’t think im a phsyco because I’m NOT.. I don’t spend all day with him.
So my 2 questions are :
Is it possible to teach a 1 year old baby to walk? How if so?
And, how can you make a baby laugh easily and keep him entertained?

You can hold his hands and help him walk around, when he is standing by a table or couch, tell him to walk to you. But you really can’ t teach him, he’ll do it on his own.
A baby laughs when you act silly,so just act silly play with his toys.Try some books that play music or toys that play music. Babies love LOUD toys!!!

The Expert answers:
Never rush a baby to walk. That can cause physical development problems. They will walk when they are ready. You don’t teach them. You can help them, holding them up when they try to walk. If it goes too long, more than 18 months or so, check with your doctor. The baby should at least be holding himself up next to furniture. You do not need to teach a baby to crawl, they will do that naturally too.
10 minutes with a toy is pretty typical. Toys that make noise might work better.
Just pay the baby some attention, make stupid faces and sounds, talk, touch. Don’t use too much ‘baby talk’. Speak pleasantly and happily, but use a natural voice. Make ‘raspberries’ on their feet or tummy.
It is not your job to keep the child entertained. It is you job to keep them safe from harm and provide food and attention.

What gift do you think should I buy for my (about 1 and a half year old) little cousin for Christmas?
So last year I bought him a baby guitar (just a baby toy from vtech), but this year I don’t know what to buy for my about 1 and a half year old cousin.
Do you have any ideas?

He is still pretty young to realize what your getting him so I’m so anything is appriciated. Just get him some little clothes, a toy like the guitar you bought before, and maybe some drawing things like little crayons and paper 🙂

What to get for a 5 year old and a 1 year old for christmas?
They are both girls. The 5 year old is a good mix of girly and tomboy. The 1 year old doesn’t play with rattles and baby toys anymore she plays with her sisters toys. It seems like when to box says for 4-5 she doesn’t want it. She’s very smart for her age.
Any ideas for Santa.

Learning toys! Everyone is going to get them playing toys, but learning is so important these days. My boyfriend has a going on 4 year old in preschool and there are so many educational items out there that can still be fun for the child. Is she into drawing? Writing the letters of the alphbet? Can she hold a crayon/pencil correctly without any help? Flashcards, puzzles, things that stimulate the brain. There is nothing worse than a teacher telling you that you need to brush up on certain activites.
